http://t1.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn:ANd9GcQGqQP37zcIjzxo7shYtOXcPoBX2mdxWnK1uJ0uQ4uRkFSUzwND3QLooking for a project?

Looking for a way to touch lives?

Looking for a way to make a difference?

Here are a couple of opportunities:

1.  We are looking some people to help plan, prepare and serve the Maundy Thursday Meal and Service.  We usually get 80 people out for Stew and Worship around the table…this year, Rev. Seli is willing to share in the planning and preparation for this gathering if others are interested.  If you are interested, speak with him.

2.  Jubilee’s Habitat for Humanity build is coming up on March 31 – we could really use a coordinator to help us sign up 20 people, co-ordinate fundraising and share the project with Jubilee folk.  Interested in building something special?  Talk with Rev. Seli.

3.  On June 1, we are having a Jubilee FUNraiser.  Not a fundraiser, but an evening of music and BBQ.  We have the pulled pork arranged; we have Arden and the Tourists coming back to provide the music – but we could sure use a couple of people to shepherd this event.  If you are interested in working with Rev. Seli on this – tell him!!

4.  The Nominations Committee is looking for people to fill three volunteer positions within the congregation.  If you would like to consider serving as one of these, please contact a member of the Nominations Committee – Bob Nicholls, Dick Patrick, Harvey Bride, Joan Neylan or Julie Ashdown.

A. Archivist – The Congregational Archivist, in conjunction with congregational committees, staff members and other positions, ensures the retention of important records of the congregation.  The position also works with the Presbytery Archivist to forward appropriate non-current records to the United Church archives.

B.  Greeter Team Coordinator – The Greeter Team Coordinator arranges for teams – usually three people – to greet members, friends and visitors attending Sunday morning worship services.

C.  In addition, there are always opportunities on the many committees and groups that organize and conduct our many activities.  If you would like to consider serving on any of these, please speak to a member of that committee, or call the church office for contact information.
